Lara Christy, MSN, ANP-BC, FAWM, CCRN, CEN

Lara Christy, MSN, ANP-BC, FAWM, CCRN, CEN, is an adult nurse practitioner with more than a decade of experience working in both cardiology and primary care. Along with her BSN and MSN, she holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in experiential education. She also retains a Medical Cannabis Care certificate from Pacific College of Health and Science and membership in both the Society of Cannabis Clinicians and American Cannabis Nurses Association. She is a Healer.com-Certified medical cannabis provider and is an educator and public speaker in medical cannabis, wilderness medicine, remote/austere medicine, emergency and critical care nursing. She presented Cannabis in the Setting of Psychiatric Illness to the American Psychiatric Nurses Association New Jersey chapter conference in May 2024.

Through her work helping patients obtain medical cannabis cards, she noticed how many patients lack the knowledge to fine-tune medical cannabis strains, dosages, and routes to meet their needs. Lara’s service offers education on the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in our own bodies, and how medical cannabis interacts with the ECS. She will discuss your medical history and help you learn about cannabis and how it may benefit you or your loved ones and improve quality of life. Lara’s unique educational background in nursing and experiential education, along with her certifications in medical cannabis have given her the knowledge base to help others maximize health and quality of life.

Although Lara is a nurse practitioner, for this role, she is working as a nurse educator, and will not be prescribing medications or diagnosing ailments.
